Welcome to the Pilot

Thank you for your interest in testing TripControl.

TripControl is a mobile-first platform designed to help schools plan, manage, and carry out safe and structured school trips. The pilot phase allows selected teachers and student groups to use the platform in real situations and provide feedback before the official release.

What to Expect

During the pilot, you will be able to:

  • Create and manage a trip
  • Share access with students via a simple invite code
  • Build a structured schedule with locations and activities
  • Communicate with your group in one place
  • Test the platform across devices (mobile, tablet, computer)

Please note:
This is an early version. Some features may still be under development.

Getting Started

  1. Open TripControl in your browser (link provided separately)
  2. Create your trip
  3. Share the invite code with your students
  4. Add:
    • Schedule items
    • Locations
    • Instructions or tasks
  5. Ask students to join and explore the platform

Your Role in the Pilot

As a pilot user, your feedback is essential.

We ask you to:

  • Use TripControl in a real or simulated trip context
  • Test core features (schedule, communication, structure)
  • Report anything that:
    • feels unclear
    • doesn’t work as expected
    • could be improved

Language Review (Important)

TripControl is designed to support multiple school languages:
Finnish, Swedish, English, Spanish, French, and German.

During the pilot, we especially need help reviewing the languages.

Please check that:

  • The language is correct and natural
  • No English remains in translated content
  • Instructions are clear and appropriate for students

You can send feedback in any of the following ways:

Helpful feedback includes:

  • What you tried to do
  • What happened
  • What you expected instead
  • Suggested wording improvements (if language-related)

Timeline

  • Pilot period: Spring–Summer
  • Extended testing will continue into school year 2026-2027 due to school holidays

Important Notes

  • TripControl is currently a web-based version (works on mobile, tablet, and desktop)
  • A dedicated app version is in development
  • Do not share sensitive personal data during testing
