You create the learning environment. Students create the conversation.

LinguaLink gives teachers a structured way to introduce authentic communication without giving up the oversight needed in a school environment.

Teachers create and manage the spaces where communication takes place and decide how students participate.

LinguaLink can be used for:

  • exchanges between partner schools
  • Finnish–Swedish language collaboration
  • international language projects
  • Erasmus+ activities
  • classroom discussion tasks
  • written communication practice
  • speaking and pronunciation activities using voice messages
  • cultural exchange
  • small-group projects
  • short activities or longer collaborative projects

Teacher-managed spaces

Teachers remain responsible for the learning environment.

Communication spaces can be created around particular classes, themes or activities, allowing the teacher to provide structure while students concentrate on communicating.

Easy student participation

Students can join with a code, reducing unnecessary barriers before an activity can begin.

The emphasis stays on the language task rather than account administration.

Different ways to communicate

Not every student communicates best in the same way.

LinguaLink supports written messages, discussions, live interaction, images and voice, giving teachers opportunities to practise several dimensions of communicative language competence.

AI that supports learning — without doing the work

LinguaLink can also include an optional AI Language Coach.

The Language Coach is designed to support the student rather than simply produce the answer.

It can provide guidance, hints and language support when a student needs help expressing something, while keeping the student responsible for creating the actual message.

The principle is simple:

AI should help students use the language — not remove the need to learn it.
