Languages are meant to be used.
LinguaLink is a digital communication platform designed to bring authentic interaction into language learning.
Instead of practising a language only through exercises and simulated situations, students can use the language to communicate with real learners from another school.
Teachers create and moderate shared spaces where students can communicate through messages, discussions, live chat, images, voice messages and reactions.
For example, students in Åland learning Finnish can communicate with students in Helsinki learning Swedish. The Åland students can write and speak Finnish while the Helsinki students use Swedish — allowing both groups to practise the language they are learning in the same conversation.
Students have a real audience, a real reason to communicate and an opportunity to discover how language works outside the textbook.
Real communication. Real languages. Real learners.
